Queen Letizia Of Spain Appears Glamorous In Backless Navy Gown

Queen Letizia of Spain stepped out with her husband King Felipe VI in a glamorous blue dress for the opening of the royal theatre season in Madrid – one of the staple events of the couple’s calendar. The couple’s public appearance is their first since a recent state visit to Germany, which marked the pair’s return to the country for the first time in eight years.

The royal appeared elegant in a navy Miphai backless dress which she paired with shiny silver heels and a matching clutch. With her hair in a tight bun, she accessorized her look diamond earrings and smokey eye makeup. The king appeared dapper by her side, dressed in a pinstriped suit and purple tie.

The pair arrived to enjoy a rendition of the opera Aida by Giuseppe Verdi. The modern version of the classic, which is set in the Old Kingdom of Egypt, will be performed a number of times at the theatre during the tenure. The set of the opera is designed by Hugo de Ana and the music direction is given by Nicola Luisotti, Daniel Oren and Diego Garcia Rodriguez.
