Madame Tussauds Will Open In Dubai This Year

The iconic waxwork museum will debut with 60 star – studded names, including 16 brand new wax figures from the Middle East region.

Plans for a Madame Tussauds Dubai were announced as far back as 2008, but 2021 will finally see the long – awaited arrival of the iconic waxwork museum in the city. The first Madame Tussauds in the GCC, and 25th location worldwide, will open later this year on Bluewaters island, right under the silhouette of the also soon – to – open Ain Dubai.

Visitors will be able to snap selfies with a star – studded collection of 60 figures modelled on some of the world’s most recognised names and faces, included leading Hollywood stars such as Jennifer Lawrence and Vin Diesel, Bollywood heroes such as Shahrukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor, sports icon Lewis Hamilton and political leaders including Donald Trump, Narendra Modi and Xi Jinping. A collection of 16 brand new wax figures from the Middle East region will also be exclusive to the Dubai location. The famous faces – Nancy Ajram and Maya Diab – have already been announced as the first duo in the 16 – piece Middle East figure collection, with more to be announced later this year.

Spread over two floors, Madame Tussauds Dubai will be split into six zones: Leaders, Fashion, Film & Media, Bollywood, Sports & Music Party. Each will come with themed backdrops and interactive experiences for visitors to enjoy the ultimate VIP photo with the iconic figures, whether it’s enjoying tea with the Queen, riding pillion with Tom Cruise, walking the catwalk with Kendall Henner or a nailbiting penalty shoot out with Lionel Messi.
