Cartier And Expo 2020 Dubai Announce The Women’s Pavilion

Cartier and Expo 2020 Dubai announce a collaboration to present the Women’s Pavilion, celebrating women change – makers all over the world.

In partnership with Cartier, Expo 2020 Dubai unveiles the Woman’s Pavilion with a special New Perspectives exhibition. The Women’s Pavilion takes a look at the contribution of women and their impact on society, shining a light on the countless acjievements, past and present, that have driven forward economies and enhanced their communities. It will also spotlight the breadth and wealth of female expertise that is inspiring and empowering global citizens to create a better future. With support from female artists and creators, the pavilion will be enriched with contributions from archietect Laura Gonzales, artist El Seed, and Actress and directors Nadine Labaki and Melanie Laurent.

United Nations Under – Secretary – General and Executive Director of UN Women, Phumzile Mlambo – Ngcuka, and International human rights lawyer Amal Clooney – both defenders of and campaigners for women’s rights, women’s and gender equity – are also lending their support to the Women’s Pavilion.

Expo 2020 Dubai will take place from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022. An endless hourney of discovery, visitors will have access to the latest innovations and breakthroughs, with more than 200 participants – including 192 nations, multilatera organizations, business, and educational insitutions – coming together to highlight real – life solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. It will be the first World Expo to be held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region and the first of the 21st century to feature a pavilion dedicated to women.
