From Tuesday, June 15 onwards, Abu Dhabi residents mush have a green pass on their Alhosn app to gain entry to public places. These include shopping malls and large supermarkets, gyms, hotels, public parks and beaches, private beaches and swimming pools, entertainment centers, cinemas, museums, restaurants, and cafes.
The green pas is activated based on residents’ Covid vaccination status and PCR test validity. Abu Dhabi’s Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee has now clarified that these procedures apply to everyone aged 16 years and above.
Here are the three color codes introduced on the app that reflect residents’ Covid-19 PCR test validity:
Green: Negative PCR test result is valid.
Grey: Validity of the negative PCR test result had ended.
Red: The test result is positive and usual approved procedures will need to be followed.
If you have received both vaccine does more than 28 days ago, a negative PCR test will give you a green status for 30 days, before it returns to grey. An active icon (the letter E or Gold star) will also show for seven days. However, if you have received your first vaccine dose and waiting for your second appointment, a negative pcr test will give you a green status for 7 days before returning to grey.
If you are late for your second dose by 48 days or more, a negative PCR test will see the status appear green for three days. On the other hand, if you hold a valid vaccine exemption certificate, a negative PCR test will also give you a green status for 7 days before returning to grey.
Lastly, if you are unvaccinated, a negative PCR test will give you a green status for 3 days before returning to grey.
